All carving is done in Basswood (Linden) and is then stained and urethaned.

All designs made on product are carved with a single knife.  Other than a pencil, ruler and compass, this is the only tool used.  All carvings from the deepest cuts to the smallest of cuts are done with one knife to produce each segment in the design in one precise crisp cut.
